Update

We are expecting our second child and are so excited about it!! The little one is due September 21st. This pregnancy has been so different then with Tate, I have been sick almost the whole time so far. I am hoping that now that I am in the second trimester that will come to an end soon. We waited to tell the family until yesterday, I had a puzzle made from a picture of Tate wearing his big brother shirt and holding the pictures form the ultrasound. It was fun to watch everyone's reaction. We told everyone that Tate made the puzzle in primary to give to his grandparents. My dad caught on right away as well as my sister but everyone else took a minute looking at it to figure out what it meant. Dave's dad looked at it and said, I don't get it, his shirt says big brother and the pictures look like ultrasounds but I don't get it. But he catch on. My mom was the same way, she said oh that's cute, so everyone asked her what it was a picture of and she said Tate holding ultrasound pictures of himself. We couldn't help but laugh. And I got it all on video.

A quick up-date

We have been in our new house since July now and absolutely LOVE it. It is the perfect house for us. And the perfect neighborhood, we couldn’t have asked for better neighbors and ward. I am a Beehive advisor (yikes) it has been so fun, we have a great group of girls. We haven’t done a lot to the house other than paint. We painted Tate’s room Utah Utes since he is so obsessed with them, and yes he loves it. He has to take everyone that comes over to see it. He really has loved the house which has been a blessing we were worried he wouldn’t sleep well like he was doing at my parents. But he loves it so much he even ran away from my parents house last summer and started the journey home, a couple stopped him about half a mile from my parents and the cops picked him up and took him to my parents. He told the cops he was going home. My sister was curious to see if he knew the way so she took him for a walk later and he pointed her the entire way home. Crazy if you ask me since he was only 2.5. We have the best neighbors and ward. I am a Beehive advisor and have enjoyed every minute of it. We have an amazing group of YW.

I can’t wait for spring to start on the garden and work in the yard. Dave is about to start tiling the basement bathroom. That will be so nice to have done since it’s just linoleum right now.

Well we are back from Haiti, what an amazing trip it was. It was so different from past trips we have been on. With all the destruction from the earthquake and so many people with nowhere but a tent to call home. It was so sad but at the same time inspiring because the Haitians we so happy despite everything they have been through. It makes you think about so many thing going to a country like that. Yes we have our fair share of problems here but Not very many people will ever see anything close to what they live in. I am so grateful that Dave and I have been able to go to Haiti together and to have shared the experiences together. It is so hard to try to find the right words on how to explain your experiences there unless they too have seen it with their own eyes. I hope that at some point everyone is able to have the same experiences, it doesn't have to be Haiti or even a 3rd world country to see the love you get when serving others. That has been Dave and I's "vacation" almost every year since we were married, is to go to Haiti with the humanitarian group Healing Hands for Haiti. And we hopefully will be able to continue throughout our lives and when our children are old enough they too will be able to share the experiences with us.

If you ever have a chance to do something like this I hope you do as it has changed our lives for the better in so many ways.

To be grateful for:
Running water that you can actually drink from the faucet or just about anywhere you go.
Electricity (that doesn't get shut off every night)
Warm water to take a shower or a bath
a large variety of food to choose from / and to have more than one meal a day
a home to live in
a warm cozy bed to sleep in
a job ( yes i know we all complain about having to work but at least we have a job and the ability to work)
a toilet that you can put TP in and flush with no problems
a garbage system (so it doesn’t all end up on the streets)
Air conditioning
Healthcare

oh the list goes on and on

Count down

Only 3 months to go....you can do it! P.B.B!!!!! :D

Tate

Tate is growing like a weed (as the saying goes). He is so dang good at sports I will be a very busy mom with Soccer, baseball, Football, Basketball, and anything else that kid wants to try. Ever since he could hold a ball he has been playing. That's all he wants to do is play ball, or "cackle" football.
He also loves to scare you, I guess that comes from his family thinking it was so funny to scare him. He got up from his nap yesterday and came running down the hall into the kitchen with his arms up and screaming roar. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen.
